2025 Building Codes will become effective January 1, 2026
On January 1, 2026, all new plan review and permit applications must comply with the 2025 California Building Standards Codes, which are based on the International Building Codes. This includes Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Energy and Fire.
